Marilyn J. Evans, 91, of Carbondale, died Monday January 3rd at Abington Manor, Clarks Summit. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Currie; and her second husband, Robert Evans.
Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late William and Esther Mary Tyrrell Verrill, she was a member of the Berean Baptist Church, Carbondale. She was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale. Marilyn was a sweet, kind, caring person who loved to take care of her family and others. She valued family above all else and adored her grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son: William Currie; a daughter: Deborah Yackowicz; and a brother: Clifton Verrill.
Surviving are five grandchildren: Danielle Currie Munos and husband Jaime; Jacqueline Currie; Dana, Shawn, and Bryan Curie; thirteen great grandchildren: Matthew and Breanna Kurlonak; Chelsea, Alyssa, Jaime, and Lauren Munos; Angie and Vincent Morales; Dallas, Brody, Wesson, and Phoenix, and Andrew Currie; and four great great grandchildren: Angelo, Mia, and Luna Munos; Ava Kurlonak.
As per her request, private funeral services were held with interment in Hillside Cemetery, Plainfield, NJ. Arrangements by the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale.
