Marjorie Reeder Obituary

Marjorie Reeder, 94, of Dallas and formerly of Ararat Twp., died Saturday December 15th at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.

Born in Burnwood, Susquehanna County, daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Keenan Ross, she attended Herrick Twp. Schools and was a graduate of Pleasant Mount High School.  She was a former member of the Dunmore United Methodist Church.  Prior to retirement, Marjorie had a 39 year career as a seamstress in the local garment industry.

Surviving are a daughter: Sue Chapman, Dallas; a grandson: Randy Chapman and companion Kara Vesek, Dallas; 3 great grandchildren: Dylan Chapman, Michael Vesek, and Haley Vesek; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers: William, who was killed in action in World War II; Harold John, and Phillip; and two sisters: Ruth Vaga and Marjorie’s twin sister: Margaret Brooking.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family by the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City.
