Martha Ondrako, 82, of Forest City, died Wednesday April 29th at Aventura at Creekside, Carbondale. She was the widow of Michael M. Ondrako, who died January 3, 2023; the couple had been married for 58 years.
Born in Carbondale and raised in Richmondale, daughter of the late Louis and Martha Siscoe Morack, she was a graduate of Fell Township High School, Class of 1961; she earned her Associate’s Degree from Keystone College. Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the credit department at Jerry’s Sports Center, Vandling. Martha enjoyed puzzles, and going to flea markets. She loved animals. Above all else, loving and taking care of her family was the most important thing in her life; she would put others’ needs above her own. She was the best mother anyone could ever ask for.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Aventura at Creekside for the excellent and compassionate care given to Martha.
Also surviving are three daughters: Mary Martha Ondrako and companion Dave Yusinski, Clarks Summit; Ann Stefanov, Forest City; Michelle McLaughlin, North Carolina; a sister-in-law: Anna Mae Morack, Carbondale, and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Tina Ondrako.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Louis and Edmund Morack; and a sister-in-law: Rosamond Morack.
As per her request, private funeral services will be held. Arrangements by the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City.
