Mary J. Dishong, 72, of Browndale, died Wednesday January 18th at home. She was the widow of Roger Dale Dishong, who died in 2017.
Born in Cumberland, MD, daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary Ellen Winebrenner Livingood, she was a graduate of Allegany High School, Cumberland, MD. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a custodian for the Forest City Regional School District, and she cleaned local homes. She had previously worked as a beautician. Mary loved to garden and spend her free time with her grandchildren. She also loved taking care of her beloved dog Patch.
Surviving are a daughter: Nicole Dishong; a son: John Dishong; a daughter-in-law: Cheryl Dishong; three grandchildren whom she adored: Kayla, Austin, and Jaxon Dishong, all of Browndale; a sister: Judy Frame, Cumberland, MD; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, including cousin Ester Thomlinson.
As per her request, private funeral services were held. Arrangements by the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City.
