Mary Catherine Foote, 84, of Forest City, died Friday February 10th at Allied Services Hospice, Scranton.  She is survived by her life partner, Henry Tusar, of Forest City.

Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Sweeney Burns, she was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Forest City.  Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse, having worked in home health and several hospitals.

Also surviving are a daughter: Arline McKenzie and husband Richard, Franklin, Mass.; two sons: William Fahey, Halifax, Mass.; Stephen Fahey, Virginia Beach, VA; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; two sisters: Dorothy Clark, Wakefield, Mass.; Brenda Coronite, Weymouth, Mass.; two brothers: David and John Burns, both of New Hampshire; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a sister: Patricia Dooley; and a brother: Joseph Burns.

As per her request, a celebration of Mary’s life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements by the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City.
