Mary E. Seymour Obituary

Mary E. Seymour, 77, of Carbondale, died Tuesday March 25th at Aventura at Creekside, Carbondale, after a lengthy illness.


Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Frank and Veronica Golden Kulkosky, she was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Carbondale.  She was a graduate of St. Rose High School and Lackawanna County Vocational Technical School.  Prior to her illness, she was employed as an administrative assistant for Attorney Benjamin Schnessel, Carbondale.  She enjoyed reading, watching birds in her bird feeder, and crafting, especially with beads.  She was one of the first members of the Cottage Hose Ambulance Corps.


Surviving are three sons: Philip Calabro, III and wife Susan, Union Dale; Thomas Seymour and wife Claire, Carbondale; Matthew Seymour and wife Jamie, Waymart; five grandchildren: Chloe Marie Calabro; Emily Veronica Seymour; Thomas Seymour, III; Matthew Seymour, Jr.; Frankie Seymour; a sister: Frances Vaverchak and husband Bob, Jermyn; and a nephew: Robert Vaverchak.


The funeral will be Saturday March 29th with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am in St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale.  Interment, St. Rose Cemetery, Carbondale.  Friends may call at the church from 10:30 am until mass time.  Arrangements by the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale.
