Mary Sparrow Obituary
Mary Sparrow, 92, of Carbondale, died Tuesday October 11th at home. She was the widow of Joseph M. Sparrow, Sr., who died September 27, 2017.
Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late John and Helen Miscavage Greene, she attended St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. She was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale. Prior to retirement, she was employed at the E-J Shoe Factory, Forest City.
Surviving are a son: Edward Sparrow and wife Nancy, Carbondale; two grandchildren: Edward, Jr. and Sarah Jane; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a son: Joseph Sparrow, Jr.; three brothers: John, Joseph, and William Greene; and two sisters: Lillian Tamblyn and Viola Kopa.
Private funeral services will be held. Arrangements by the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale.
