Matthew J. Sklanka, 77, of Herrick Twp., died Friday, April 1st at home.

Born in Carbondale, son of the late Wesley and Ceil Kowalko Sklanka, he was a member of Ascension Parish, Forest City. He was a graduate of Forest City Regional High School. Prior to retirement, he was employed as a plastics color matcher. Matthew was always working in his yard and was very proud of the way it looked. He loved to plow snow in the winter with his quad. His favorite music was the oldies.

Surviving are a sister, Antoinette Sklanka; a nephew, Robert C. Ianarelli; and a niece, Monica L. Ianarelli.

The funeral will be Friday April 8th, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, Delaware Street, Forest City. Interment, Sacred Heart Cemetery, Forest City.
