Michael J. Lloyd, 69, of Carbondale died Thursday, August 12th.
Born in Carbondale, son of the late Wright and Eleanor VanVorst Lloyd II, he graduated Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale. Prior to retirement, he had been employed as a truck driver for Baumann’s. He was a 4th Degree Knight and former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 7622, Jermyn, and a social member of the Black Diamond Hose Company, Archbald.
Surviving are his five children: Erin, Michelle, Rachel, Katie, and Michael; 2 sisters: Annmarie Phillips and companion David Trinchera; Alice Millon and husband Richard; four brothers: John LLoyd, Robert Lloyd, Charles Lloyd, and William Lloyd and his wife Lisa ; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by an infant son; a granddaughter: Alicia Lloyd; three brothers: James, Wright Joseph, and Kenneth Raymond Lloyd; and a sister: Barbara Estes.
The funeral will be Wednesday August 18th with services at 4 pm in the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Ave., Carbondale. Friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm.
