Nancy Corrigan, 88, of Whites Crossing, died Saturday September 11th at Allied Services Hospice, Scranton. She was the widow of James “Bud” Corrigan, who died April 7, 2001; the couple had been married for 47 years.
Born in Whites Crossing, daughter of the late James and Julia Arthur Williamson, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Carbondale. She was a graduate of Fell Twp. High School, Class of 1950. Prior to retirement, she was employed as a ward secretary at the former Carbondale General Hospital. She had been previously employed by the A&P Super Market, and the former Banner Slipper Company, Honesdale. Nancy loved to cook and bake. She also greatly enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving are a son: Kevin Corrigan and wife Alice, Carbondale; two granddaughters: Shannon and Brittany Corrigan; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers: James, John, and Robert Williamson; and two sisters: Dorothy Mucha and Ruth Manarchuck.
The funeral will be Wednesday in the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale with services at 10 am. Interment, Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart. Friends may call Tuesday, from 4 to 7 pm.
