Patricia A. Turano, 58, of Carbondale, died Friday December 31st at home.
Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Stephen and Grace Baldwin Kacer, she was a devout member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, Carbondale, where she was a member of the Women’s Group; she was known at the church for her kindness, dedication, and service. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Carbondale, and the Lackawanna County Vo-Tech School, where she studied horticulture. She was previously employed as the manager of the floral department at Price Chopper Supermarket, Dunmore, and she was previously employed as the market manager at the former ShopRite Supermarket, Eynon. Patricia loved baking and cooking; being in the kitchen was her life. She also enjoyed crocheting.
Surviving are a son: Vincent Turano, Carbondale; a brother: Stephen Kacer, Carbondale; and several cousins.
She was also preceded in death by a son: Timothy J. Turano.
The funeral will be Wednesday January 5th with services at 3 pm in the Trinity Episcopal Church, 58 River St., Carbondale, by the Rev. William McGinty. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart. Friends may call Wednesday at the church from 2 pm until service time. Arrangements by the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale.
