Patrick "Duce" McHale

Patrick “Duce” McHale, 70, of Carbondale, died Tuesday August 17th at Allied Services Hospice, Scranton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thomasina Toolan McHale, who died July 4, 2015; the couple was married August 4, 1973.

Born in Carbondale, son of the late Gerald and Mary Nolan McHale, he was a graduate of Scranton Preparatory School and the University of Scranton.  Prior to retirement, he was employed as a land surveyor for G. Dunda Associates, Dunmore.  He enjoyed fishing, especially fishing on the Lackawanna River.

Surviving are 3 sons Micah McHale and his wife Jennifer and their daughter Kayla and his daughters Emma and Erin, Carbondale;  Timothy McHale and wife Laura and their children, Jonathan, Kellan, and Calleigh ; all of Enterprise, NV; and Zachary McHale and his wife Angela and their children, Madalyn and Elizabeth ,all of Olyphant; a sister: Kate Barrett and husband Joe, Crystal Lake; sisters-in-law: Michelle McHale, Mayfield; Alice Vilardi and her husband Robert, Wappingers Falls, NY and Julie Rzucidlo and her husband Joseph, Mayfield; a brother-in-law: Shane Toolan and his wife Patricia, Carbondale; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, John McHale.

Friends may call Saturday, August 21st from 2 to 5 pm at the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale.  Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
