Paul Hadley Obituary

Paul F. Hadley, 74, passed away on Friday, with his beloved wife by his side. His wife is the former Sharon Orasin, the couple would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 16th.

He was born in Browndale, on April 20, 1947. He was the son of the late Arthur and Mary Frances Jakic Hadley. A lifelong and proud Browndalian, Paul attended the one room Browndale Elementary School through 8th grade. Upon graduation from Forest City Regional High School, Paul proudly served four years in the U.S. Navy. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked for RCA, later renamed Thompson Consumer Electronics, in Dunmore, Pennsylvania for nearly 30 years. Paul was known for the kindness he showed family and friends, always willing to help out when somebody needed a hand around the house or the farm. An avid hunter and fisherman he was a long-time member of the Browndale Sportsman’s Club. He took great pride in helping with the Sportsman's sponsored fishing derbies and barbecues and maintaining the grounds. He enjoyed tending to his bird feeders, garden, and watching the wildlife in his yard. Paul’s love of the outdoors was second only to the love for his family, where he spent as many weekends as he could attending his grandkids’ sporting events, Scouting events, and dance recitals enjoying his grandchildren as they grew up. Those who knew Paul well knew that he was a man of few words, but he didn’t hesitate to share how proud he was of his grandchildren, Ani and Gray.

Paul is also survived by his two children, Karie Hadley, Westminster, MD; and Kris Hadley, Browndale; two grandchildren, Analeigh and Grayson Gardner, sister Mary Lou Zebrowski, and her husband Dave, Florida a niece Erin Zebrowski. He was preceded in death by his niece Marcia Hadley and a sister Edith Hadley.

Per his wishes, no funeral services will be held, but those who wish to honor Paul’s memory can make a donation to a charity of their choice in his name. Arrangements by the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City.
