Raymond A. Orasin, 85, of Vandling, died Saturday October 19th at home. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Dorothy Kramer, who died April 2, 2019.
Born in Forest City, son of the late Albert A. and Frances Shamro Orasin, he was a member of Ascension Parish, Forest City. He was a graduate of Forest City High School and East Stroudsburg Teachers College. He was a United States Navy veteran. Prior to retirement, he worked as a personnel manager at RCA in Dunmore until the family moved to South Williamsport where he worked at West Company and Moore Business Forms. He was previously employed as a history teacher at the Forest City High School. Ray enjoyed hunting and fishing and was named Sportsman of the Year.

Surviving are a daughter: Amy Febbo and husband Anthony; two grandsons: Garrett and Mitchell Pensak; a sister: Sharon Hadley, Forest City; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter: Lynn Pensak; and two sisters: Patricia Budney and Rosalind Millette.
The funeral will be Saturday, October 26th, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Joseph’s Church, Delaware Street, Forest City. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Forest City. Friends may call at the church Saturday morning, from 8:30 am until mass time.
