Richard Francis Kniss Obituary
Richard Francis Kniss, 88, of Lake Ariel, died Monday September 8th. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Barbara H. Kendzierski, who died June 23rd.
Born in Carbondale, son of the late Stanley and Blanche Lisowski Kniss, he was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Waymart. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a Captain in the Morris County Sheriff’s Department in New Jersey.
Surviving are several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by a brother: Stanley Kniss; and a sister: Carol Kniss.
The funeral will be Monday, September 15th with committal services at 10:30 am at Our Mother of Sorrows Mausoleum, Finch Hill. Arrangements by the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City.
