Robert V. Boos, 81, of Jessup, died Friday June 18th at the Gino Merli Veterans Center, Scranton. He is survived by his wife, the former Margaret Mary “Helen” Walker.
Born in Scranton, son of the late Albert C. and Genevieve Foy Boos, he was a graduate of Saint Mary’s High School, Scranton. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran. Prior to retirement, he was a Trooper with the Pennsylvania State Police. Bob lived a great life and loved traveling, gambling, and music especially Chicago and Carly Simon. He was a great person and an exceptional husband.
Also surviving are a son: Mark Boos and wife Lisa, Jessup; a step-son: Thomas O’Neill, Burbank, CA; a step-daughter: Kelly O’Neill, Archbald; a granddaughter: Victoria Boos; a grandson: Mark Boos, Jr.; a step-grandson: Robby Opalka; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother: John Boos; and three sisters: Mary Hart; Grace Boos; and Eleanor Weber.
Private funeral services will be held. Arrangements by the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale.
