Robert B. Jadwin, 80, of Vestal, NY, and formerly of Scott Twp., died Sunday June 28th at Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton, NY. His wife is the former Donna Crandell; the couple would have celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in September.
Born in Carbondale and raised at Newton Lake, son of the late Robert and Lillian Varrato Jadwin, he was a graduate of Lakeland High School. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit. He served as an EMT with Scott Township and Justus Fire Companies, where he was credited with saving multiple lives. He also served as the zoning officer for Scott Township. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Lowe's, and he previously worked at Procter & Gamble, Mehoopany.
Also surviving are a daughter: Terri Kelsey and husband Matthew, Vestal; two grandchildren: John and Julia Kelsey; a sister-in-law: Nancy Martin and husband Glynn; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by a sister: Lillian Edwards.
The funeral will be Thursday July 2nd in the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale, with services at 4:30 pm, to be celebrated by Pastor William Carter. Private interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill. Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 5 pm.
