Robert James Lynch

Robert James Lynch, 62, of Greenfield Twp., died Friday November 21st at the Regional Hospital of Scranton, surrounded by his family after an eight year battle with multiple illnesses.

Born in Carbondale, he was the son of Robert and Caroline Neeposh Lynch, of Greenfield Twp.  He was a graduate of Lakeland High School, Class of 1981.  Prior to his illness, he was employed by Hillcrest Coatings, Attica, NY; and he previously worked for Tredegar Products, Carbondale.  Throughout his entire career, he also worked as an auto mechanic who worked on every type of vehicle imaginable.  When he became ill in 2017, he began working on generators as a hobby to help pass time until he became too weak to keep going. He enjoyed chasing sunsets and was an avid bald eagle watcher.

Also surviving are two sons: Michael Horne and wife Christina, Dickson City; Matthew Lynch and wife Kathryn, North Abington Twp.; a daughter: Nicole Lynch, Jessup; and a brother; Jerry Lynch and companion Wendy Parry, Darien Center, NY.

The funeral will be Saturday, November 29th with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale.  Friends may call at the church from 8:30 am until mass time.  Arrangements by the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale.
