Robert E. Wigfall

Robert E. Wigfall, 84, of Carbondale, died Sunday September 17th at Allied Services Hospice, Scranton.  He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Louise Werwinski.

Born in Carbondale, son of the late Edward and Ruth Harder Wigfall, he was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale.  He was a veteran of the PA National Guard, 109th Infantry.  Prior to retirement, he had been employed as a security guard at the former Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale.  He had previously been employed at Hendrick Manufacturing, Carbondale.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

Surviving are a son: Carl Wigfall and wife Lisa, Carbondale; a daughter: Kimberly Connell and husband Mike, New Jersey; three grandchildren; a sister: Jean Muir, Carbondale; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Friday September 22nd at 1:30 pm in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Simpson.  Arrangements by the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale.
