Romayne Romyn, 87, of Dunmore, died Monday February 12th at the Forest City Nursing Home. She was the widow of Milton Romyn, who died September 30, 1999.
Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Michael and Christine Figel Natishak, and step daughter of the late Rose Mihelc Natishak, she was a member of Court Street United Methodist Church, Scranton. She was a graduate of Forest City High School. Prior to retirement, she had been employed at Casual Sportswear, Dunmore, then later by Gertrude Hawk Chocolates. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Romayne was a very kind and generous person with a great sense of humor who always loved to laugh. She spent a lot of time at Lake Lorain with her husband at their cottage. Her dog Nell was her faithful and loyal companion.
Surviving are a sister: Pauline Shager, Union Dale; and numerous nieces and nephews and lots of friends.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Michael, Joseph, and Donald Natishak; a sister: Joan Heller; a step-brother: Joseph Mihelc; and a step-sister: Mary Johnson.
The funeral will be Friday February 16th with services at 10:30 am in the Court Street United Methodist Church, 816 Court St., Scranton celebrated by Pastor Eric Luczak. Interment will follow in Union Dale Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Arrangements by the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main St. Forest City.
