Rosemarie Novak Obituary

Rosemarie Ann Novak, 85, of Forest City, passed peacefully on Monday October 4th at Allied Services Hospice with family by her side.  She was the widow of Vincent Joseph Novak, who died December 21, 2017.

Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Stanley and Jennie Planishek Moken, she was a member of Ascension Parish, Forest City.  She was a graduate of Forest City High School.  Prior to retirement, she was employed as a seamstress at Kartri Sales, Forest City, and she was previously employed as an airline stewardess.  She was an excellent seamstress who made many wedding gowns and did many upholstery projects.  She enjoyed cooking and baking, but her biggest accomplishment was raising her seven children.

Also surviving are 7 children: David Novak and wife, Sharon, Deltona, FL; Debra Novak Condello and husband, Jeff, Windermere, FL; Kathryn Novak Hunt, and husband, Frank, Archbald; Mark Novak, Forest City; Michael Novak and companion, Michelle LaPenta, Forest City; Barbara Novak Berke, and husband, Martin, Allentown; and Laura Jean Novak, Forest City; 6 grandchildren: Christopher Condello, Winter Garden, Florida; Daniel Condello, Winter Park, Florida; Michael C Novak, Scranton; Shannon Novak, Forest City; Adam Berke, Allentown; and Brandon Berke, USN, Lake Bluff, IL; 4 great-grandchildren: Michael S Novak, Matthew Condello, Charlotte Condello and Lillian Condello; 3 Grand Pups: Lucy, Niko, and Cocoa; a sister: LaVerne Bebla, Vandling; a brother: Anthony Moken, Baltimore, MD; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by: three brothers: Thomas, Leo and John Moken; four sisters: Margaret Kowal, Alice Mikulewicz, Agnes Rizner and Blanche Hessling.

Private funeral services will be held with interment in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Forest City.  Arrangements by the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City.
