Sherri Lynn Spencer

Sherri Lynn Spencer, 65, of Hanover Twp., died Saturday August 20th at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Sidney, NY, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Lillian Alberta Howard Saam.  She was a graduate of Mountain View High School, Class of 1976.  She was a homemaker and had previously been employed as a home health aide.

Surviving are three sons: Clayton Yost, Greenfield Twp.; John Paul Yost, Hanover Twp.; Randall Yost, Hanover Twp.; three grandchildren; 6 sisters: Ruth Carmody and husband David, Thompson; Betty Feyerabend and husband Carl Endicott, NY; Kathy Feyerabend, Sydney, NY; Joan Hall and husband Tim of Pleasant Mount;; Lisa Eltz and husband Philip, Pleasant Mount; Brenda Martin and husband Warren, Pasadena, MD; 6 brothers: Michael Saam and wife Margaret, Greenwood, SC; Gary Saam and wife Joan, Greenwood, SC; John Saam and Wife Ann Marie, Union Dale; Barry Saam and wife Patty, Whitehall, Phil Saam, Union Dale; Randy Saam, Carbondale; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Stephen Saam; Daniel J. Saam; and two sisters: Jackie Thiem and infant Connie Saam.

The family will hold a Celebration of Sherri's Life at a later date.  Funeral arrangements are by the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City.
