Tina H. Skubic Amadio, 80, of Vandling, died Wednesday October 4th at home. She was the widow of Joseph J. Amadio, who died January 27, 2005.
Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Martin and Mary Sepic Skubic, she was a member of Ascension Parish, Forest City, and a graduate of Forest City High School. After high school, she was accepted to the National School of Aeronautics in Kansas City, MO, for their stewardess program. She was employed as a production worker and maintenance technician for Specialty Record prior to her retirement. Tina along with her husband also operated Joe’s Bar on Main Street in Vandling. She was a member of the former Vandling Hose Co. Auxiliary, who could always be seen cooking at company functions. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, and working in her garden, especially planting lilies.
Surviving are a sister: Mary Ann Shema, Forest City; a brother: Martin Skubic, California; two nieces: Debbie Sherman; Gail Skubic Thomas and husband Wayne; two nephews: Frank Shema and wife Sandy; James Skubic and wife Michelle; three great nieces: Madeline Shema; Vanessa Sherman; Alyssa Kuehl; two great nephews: Kyle Shema and Roger Sherman; a great great niece: Leah Sherman; and two great great nephews: Colby Sherman and Jeremy Quinnan.
She was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law: Frank J. Shema; and a niece: Donna Sredenschek.
As per her request, private funeral services will be held. Arrangements by the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City.
