Obituary

William Edward Clarke, 65, of Carbondale, passed away Monday September 13th .

Born in Albion, MI, he was the son of the late George and Vera Kilian Clarke. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a welder’s helper on pipelines and well pads at Hart construction, and in his earlier years as a mechanic at Yellow Freight.  He enjoyed working on cars and trucks, being a genuine person, and always lending a hand to anyone in need.  He will always be remembered as a great grandfather, father, brother, uncle, and son.  He modeled his life after the Irish Blessing.  “May you always have… walls for the winds, a roof for the rain, laughter to cheer you, those you love near you, and all your heart might desire. “

Surviving are a son: Jason Clarke; two daughters: Jessica Clarke; Ashley Rosar;  eight beautiful grandchildren; two sisters: Pam Furlong; Catherine Terezis; former wife and friend: Tammy Clarke; and two nephews: Nick Terezis; and George Furlong.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Ryan Clarke, who is waiting for him in heaven.

The funeral will be Friday in the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale, with a blessing service at 5:30 pm.  Friends may call Friday, from 4 to 6 pm.
