William Edward Clarke, 65, of Carbondale, passed away Monday September 13th .
Born in Albion, MI, he was the son of the late George and Vera Kilian Clarke. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a welder’s helper on pipelines and well pads at Hart Construction, and in his earlier years as a mechanic at Yellow Freight. He enjoyed working on cars and trucks, being a genuine person, and always lending a hand to anyone in need. He will always be remembered as a great grandfather, father, brother, uncle, and son. He modeled his life after the Irish Blessing. “May you always have… walls for the winds, a roof for the rain, laughter to cheer you, those you love near you, and all your heart might desire. “
Surviving are a son: Jason Clarke; two daughters: Jessica Clarke; Ashley Rosar; eight beautiful grandchildren; two sisters: Pam Furlong; Catherine Terezis; former wife and friend: Tammy Clarke; and two nephews: Nick Terezis; and George Furlong.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Ryan Clarke, who is waiting for him in heaven.
The funeral will be Friday in the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale, with a blessing service at 5:30 pm. Friends may call Friday, from 4 to 6 pm.
