William G. Conklin, 88, formerly of Vandling and Pleasant Mount, died Thursday April 21st at Ellen Memorial Nursing Home, Honesdale. He is survived by his companion of over 30 years, Donna Puntar.
Born in Paterson, NJ, he was the son of the late Earl and Kathleen Smith Conklin. He was a graduate of Boonton High School, Boonton, NJ. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy, having served aboard the USS Boston during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an installer and mechanic for Automatic Door Sales and Service, Lansdale.
Surviving are three sons: William Conklin; Douglas Conklin; and Thomas Conklin; a daughter: Dawn Pedicone; twelve grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be held with interment in Saint James Cemetery, Pleasant Mount. Arrangements by the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City.
