William A. Planishek, 77, of Binghamton, NY, died Friday October 31st at the Mercy House of the Southern Tier, Endicott, NY.
Born in Carbondale, son of the late Albert and Florence Payne Planishek, he was a graduate of Liberty Central High School, Liberty, NY. Prior to his retirement, he was employed for 41 years as a production worker for Vail-Balou Press, Kirkwood, NY. He was a member of the Graphic Communications International Union/International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 898-M.
Surviving are two brothers: Thomas Planishek and wife Jean; David Planishek and wife Tina; three nephews: Thomas Planishek, Jr., and wife Amanda; Christopher Planishek and wife Heather; Dominic Mone and wife Vickie; two nieces: Julie McKee and husband Phil; Pamela Mickovich and husband Joe; great nephews: Bradley Planishek; Hudson and Graham McKee; Guy Planishek; and great nieces: Aria and Chloe Planishek.
He was also preceded in death by a nephew: Enrico Mone.
Graveside services will be held Thursday November 6th at 12 Noon in Union Dale Cemetery, by Rev. Arun Larka. Arrangements by the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City.
